For as long as there has been a SketchUp there has been a trial allowing you to see if it can do what you need it to do. Several things have happened over the years which we're excited about; first we have continued to add tools and functionality to the software as well as new complimentary products and second we now provide all of these tools inside of some different subscription offerings. What this means to you, the SketchUp user, is that you can try out even more functionality. The way our trial now works is, you'll get a trial of 'SketchUp Studio' when you sign up allowing you to try as little or as much as we have to offer.
To participate in a SketchUp trial you'll need to do a handful of things:
- Create a Trimble ID - Your Trimble Identity will be used to sign in to any of the subscription applications as well as to use the 3D Warehouse, Extension Warehouse and to track your subscription plans.
- Download & Install SketchUp Pro. You'll find the installer here.
- Launch SketchUp and log-in with your Trimble ID.
- Once you've successfully logged in, if you don't already own a subscription, you can click the option to 'Begin Trial'.

- The Trial includes everything in SketchUp Studio, you can see everything included here.
- When you're logged in with your Trimble ID your 'My Apps' page will always contain links to the software you're currently entitled to use, this is the case during your trial.
- The SketchUp Trial is 30 days from the day you sign up, unlimited access.
- Any files you create and store in Trimble Connect will remain available after the trial. If choose not to subscribe, you can still access the file from SketchUp Free, though it will contain the SketchUp Free watermark like any other SketchUp Free file.
